White throated dipper

Today I decided to go to a small stream in the vicinity to try to get som pictures of a White throated dipper. I would suggest att long lens for this kind of photography because the Dipper can be quite shy. I used my trusty 300 mm f/2.8 IS with a 2x extender and since I couldn’t get closer than a 100 feet. The light was really bad so I had to crank upp the ISO really high (up to 10 000). Still it was nice to see this little winter bather...

After several years of nagging, Fredrik finally got his wish granted as Fejs decided to go to Tromsö to shoot whales over the weekend . We ended up driving some 2500 km to get there and back again, but it was well worth it.
