A trip to the mountains

Two weeks ago Me, Fredrik, Johan and Göran went to Borgafjäll, a small mountain community close to the Norwegian border. Conveniently Fredrik owns a small cottage there where we could stay. We spent one and a half day of trekking, looking for chanterelles and of course snapping a few photos. Johan brought his latest investment, a 1000x ND filter from Dörr, that had to be tried out. I must say that i was impressed with the quality it delivered. Here is an example.

Small stream. Canon 5d mark II, 24-105 f/4 with 1000x ND-filter. 20s shutter at f/10

Fredrik conjured up some spoiled whale beef and strung it up on a tree near the cottage. I took most part of the day but eventually some Sibirian jays found it. Beautiful birds i must say.

Sibirian Jay. Canon 1dx, 300 2.8 IS @ 420mm, ISO 1600, f/4, 1/500 s.

All in all a wonderful trip.
